Would you have been able to use civil disobedience and non-violence?

I don't think I would have been able to practice civil disobedience becasue i couldn't have taken the harsh punishment handed out by the local governments. Practicing civil disobedience also would have taken a huge a toll on my body because many marches ended in violence. Another reason it would be difficult to practice civil disobedience because I would get sick of taking a beating and going to jail without fighting back. I also think it would be hard for me to participate in civil disobedience for that long.
